The cafe closed for renovations in mid 2022 and planned to reopen in 2023. This could not happen as Outback Astronomy had to deal with a power station proposed by Hydrostor on the Flying Doctor mine deposit across the road from our venue, at 1.13km. As this location is very close it introduces new noise and light and other changes to our operating environment.
We continue to defend our right to exist.

Directions – From Argent Street Post Office drive north (ie as if heading to Sydney) – Argent St becomes the Barrier Highway.
From the 80km/hr sign drive 5.2km – we’re on the right; it’s a 10 min drive.
(If coming from Outback Resort we’re on the left, about 7km)
